Reflection-October
In this art competition participants create
an original art work for fun and recognition based on the theme "WOW!" Your child can enter in the following categories: Literature, Choreography, Music, Photography, Video production, and Visual Arts.

Read-Aloud Virginia:-November  
Parent olunteers come into the school to read to children. Look for the sign-up sheet that will be going home soon. Sign up and come to read a story to one of the classes.

Directory-Fall
We produce a student directory for PTA members at the beginning of the school year.

Talent Show-Winter
Students have a chance to showcase their skills and talents in singing, dancing, playing an instrument, performing magic and other things.

Field Day- May
We provide volunteers, cookies and "stuff" for this wet, school wide fun day at the end of the year.

Parenting: -All year
We organize childcare during
parent-teacher conference days, coordinate
volunteering, and communicate with  room
parents in order to promote parental involvement
at the school  and to improve teacher-parent
communication.

Education and Legislation-All year
PTA representatives attend school board
meetings to keep us updated of important
issues and decisions.

Recycling-All year

Staff Appreciation-All year
We provide refreshments for staff on
conference days, Treats on Pay Day,
celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week, and
organize end-of-the-year celebration.

Watchdogs-All year
We promote increased father  participation  and
create a feeling of safety ad security at the at the school.
